About This Project

Cleaner, Safer Skies - NASA TEMPO Challenge 2025

This web-based application forecasts local air quality by integrating data from NASA’s TEMPO mission, ground-based air-quality networks, and weather services. It helps communities, schools, eldercare facilities, and individuals make informed decisions about outdoor activities and reduce exposure to unhealthy air conditions.

Project Goals

• Provide near real-time AQI forecasts for the World.
• Show intuitive visualizations of pollutants and forecasts.

Technologies Used

• Flask (Python) backend
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript frontend (Tailwind CSS + Leaflet for maps)
• NASA SpaceApps satellite data, OpenAQ ground measurements, OpenWeather forecasts
